Dana lives in the concrete confines of DFW, but she’s most comfortable deep in the woods. Her stories often feature isolated cabins, creepy forests, and complicated characters.
Her horror explores the intersection of motherhood, feminism, and climate change, though she has been known to write the occasional space ship or talking cat.
Dana has slush read for several anthologies and currently reads for Apex Magazine’s monthly flash fiction contest. She’s an active member of Horror Writers Association and Science Fiction & Fantasy Writers Association.
For the past several years, Dana has been writing primarily short fiction, but she’s currently editing her first novella and looking to longer fiction projects.
